Chrome plating is a technique of electroplating a thin layer of chromium onto a metal object. The chromed layer can be decorative, or it may help provide corrosion resistance.

  1. Once we receive your parts we will verify the quantity and send you a verification email letting you know we received the parts, and take digital pictures of all your parts upon arrival.
  2. The parts then go through a stripping process in which any old finishes are removed old chrome, nickel, copper, paint, or powdercoating is removed.
  3. How well the surface is prepped is a key to the ultimate quality of any plating process, and we carefully polish the surface of each part to obtain a smooth surface so the final product will shine beautifully once electro-plating begins.
  4. All parts are treated with our plating process, which triple plate finishes (copper, nickel, chrome) the parts. After the initial copper dip the parts are repolished to prep the surface for the layers of nickel and chrome.
  5. The parts are then inspected by natural and UV lights to ensure the highest quality finishes.
  6. Your parts will then be repacked and verified with the original pictures and mailed back to you USPS priority. We will send to your provided email tracking information on its return.

Q: How much does it cost to chrome my part?

A: There are many variables to the cost, in short, the best answer is to email us a picture of your part so we can determine how difficult it is to prep it before we chrome.

Q: What if my part is already polished?

A: In order to provide a perfect product, we must polish the part to remove any uneven surfaces before chroming.

Q: Help! I’m in a rush for a deadline, what is the turn around time?

A: It takes from 1 to 2 weeks to do any part. We advise that you adjust your time table to meet your own deadline as we will not rush a product out to our customers that will not meet our standards.

A: We can do all types of metals including pot metals.
